Welcome to a Blog About Science and Design

Some people do not believe that art and science go hand in hand. I consider people that spend their lives devoted to science a kind of artist, the kind that are revealing natural art to the masses by the research and the discoveries they make. It is easy to see this if you spend a few minutes looking through a National Geographic or Seed Magazine. What you will see are colorful, interesting designs and patterns. Designers, however, do not create these designs and patterns; these designs are created by nature.
While scientists and researches themselves are making beautiful discoveries all the time, the marketing and graphic design in the science industry is often lackluster. This blog is dedicated to the companies, designers, and agencies that see the value in good design and are not afraid to work outside the norm and be daring in their marketing materials. As a graphic designer that often works within the science industry, I know that being unique in your marketing materials is often intimidating to companies, but time and time again I see bright colors, interesting layouts, and intricate patterns pay off in the long run. Creating a consistent brand image that portrays your company, product, or organization as daring and professional often times speaks louder than the best marketing copy. My first blog post is dedicated to proving to you that science is art and art can be science.
